Blingiä päivään

Pimeään syksyyn ja perusarkeen tarvitaan piristystä. Minä tarvitsen piristystä. Ja intoa näyttää edes vähän ihmiseltä. Pihlan vauva-aikana innostuin amerikkalaisen bloggaajan What I wore wednesday-haasteesta, missä haastoin itseni pukeutumaan säädyllisesti päivästä toiseen. Omia WIWW-kuvia onkin hauska katsella, vähintään siksi, että tarvitsen kipeästi ideoita miten yhdistää säädyllinen ulkonäkö ja imetys.

Vaatteet on kuitenkin edellisen imetyksen ja kotiäitiyden heiniä, nyt kuljen mielelläni äitiunivormussani, eli legginseissä ja jossakin tunikassa tai muissa yhtä rennoissa vaatteissa. Sen sijaan tämä kehno pukeutuminen kaipaa hieman blingiä!

Siispä haastan itseni yhdistämään tylsiin vaatteisiin koruja ja siten piristän itseäni. Ja ilahduta muita ympärilläni näyttämällä siltä, että edes vähän kiinnostaa miltä näytän :)

Koruja mulle on vuosien aikana kertynyt hurjat määrät. Tykkään kovasti niitä ostella, mutta käyttö on jäänyt vähemmälle. Eniten syytän työtäni, missä kuljen massan joukossa sinisiin verhoutuneena, eikä korujakaan saa käyttää. Ei edes kihla-ja vihkisormuksia, joita edelleenkin unohdan välillä käyttää.

Kaikkein innokkaimmin käytin koruja opiskeluaikoina, jolloin haastoin itseni tämänkaltaiseen koitokseen, silloin tavoitteena oli käyttää koulussa joka päivä eri korua. Ja uskokaa tai älkää, koruja riitti ja jäi käyttämättäkin. Varastoa siis tähänkin haasteeseen on...

Jes. Tästä olen innoissani, piristysruisketta ja kimallusta. Ehkä joku muukin kokeilee?

What WE Wore Wednesday #2

WWWW-postaukset ovat harventuneet ja pysynevät vähän harvempina jatkossakin. Syynä tässäkin se kuuluisa töiden aloitus (kuinkahan paljon voin vielä käyttää tätä veruketta?). Koska kuljen työmatkat pyörällä ja töissä olen äärimmäisen tyylikäs kokosinisessä, en järin paljon panosta työpäivien vaatteisiin. Vapaapäivinä yritän sitäkin enemmän. Nyt vaan on tökkinyt ja lupaan parantaa tapani, ihan itseni ja lähellä olevien ihmisten vuoksi :)

WWWW-posts have gotten less frequent lately. And it seems they will stay like that. Once again I play the work card... Since I ride my bike to work and back and at work I am ever so fashionable in all blue attire I don't put much effort to my clothes on working days. But on the days off I try that much harder. Lately I've been really bad and I promise to get back on track, for me and for those around me :)

On May 1st we here in Finland celebrate a holiday called vappu. (click for Wikipedia)

It's a celebration of work and students. The hat I'm wearing is the high school graduation hat, it's a tradition to wear it on vappu.

And we decorate our homes with balloons and streamers!

What I Wore Wednesday #28

Mä rakastan vuoden aikoja. Onni siis, että asun tällaisessa maassa, jossa on selkeästi kaikki vuodenajat :)
Vaikka talvi ja erityisesti sen pitkä kesto välillä harmittaa, on siinä silti se ihanuus, että talven jälkeen tulee kevät ja kesä, jotka tuntuvat paljon erityisemmiltä, kun välillä on palellut :)
Rakastan myös käydä paikoissa, joissa on aina lämmin, mutta en näe itseäni asumassa sellaisessa ilmastossa. On kivaa, kun on talvella lunta, syysmyrskyjä, kesällä helteitä ja jokakeväinen luonnon herääminen.

I love seasons. Good thing I live in a country like Finland, where there most definitely are four seasons :)
Even though winter and especially the length of it is annoying at times, there is still the wonderful fact that after winter comes spring and summer. They feel so much more special after you've been freezing for a while :)
I love to visit places where it's warm all the time, but I don't see myself living somewhere like that. I like the snow, the autumn storms, hot summers and the awakening of the nature every spring.

And I love wearing short sleeves after a long winter :)

Welcome to my updated blog! Spring cleaning came early and left doilies and harmony behind :)

WIWWini elää murroksessa, sillä vaatevarastoni on muuttuvassa tilassa. Vajaa kaksi viikkoa sitten imetys loppui ja vaatteiden maailma aukeni :) Nyt jos koska on siis hyvä aika päivittää vaatevarastoa :)
Koska heti en kaupoille pääse/raaski mennä, täytyy kaivaa jotain korviketta kaapista. Mutta ei villatakkeja! :)

My WIWW is under turmoil at this moment, because my wardrobe is going through a change. A little over a week ago I stopped breast feeding and the world of clothes opened up for me :) Now is the best time to update my wardrobe! But because I can't go / afford to go shopping right this moment, I need to put together outfits from what I have. But no cardigans! :)

What I Wore Wednesday #21

Suuret oli värisuunnitelmat viime viikolla, mutta ihan niin hyvin ei toteutunut suunnitelma kuin olisin halunnut :) Vaikka kevättä oli kyllä muuten jo kivasti ilmassa, kun mittarikin kipusi lähemmäksi nollaa kuin -30. Väritavoite jatkuu, toivottavasti paremmalla tuloksella jatkossa.

Last week I had big plans for wearing various colors, but I didn't manage to pull it off as well as I would have wanted to. At least spring has shown some signs this week when the temperature got closer to zero (32 F) than -30 (-22F). The plan is to keep up the challenge of wearing various colors, hopefully with better results next week :)

What I Wore Wednesday #20

Täydet 20 viikkoa, vau. Sehän on jo viisi kuukautta! Itsessä ei muutosta juuri huomaa, Pihlassa sen sijaan aikas paljonkin. Pääasiassa niin, että tyttöä ei enää paljona näy kuvissa :) Pihla ei oikein viihdy sylissä kuvaussession aikana, mieluummin se vilistää jaloissa :)

A full 20 weeks, wow. That's five months! I don't see much changes in me, but in Pihla I see a lot of them. Mainly in the fact that you don't see as much of her in the pictures :) Pihla doesn't like the photo sessions and being held that much anymore, she would rather move in my feet :)

Tän viikon asukuvia katsellessa tein päätöksen: ensi viikolla on luvassa väriä! Ei ruskeaa ja mustaa. Ainakaan pelkästään :) Jos se kevätkin tajuaisi tulla kun pistää väriä päälle ;)

Looking at this weeks outfits I made a decision: there will be more color next week! No browns or black. At least solely these colors :) Maybe the spring will understand it's time to come when you wear some colors ;)

What I Wore Wednesday #19

Muutama viikko sitten haaveilin keväisistä vaatteista. Aikamoinen takapakki tuli niille haaveille kun mittari pysyttelee tiiviisti pakkasella, -25! Yäk. Moni päivä tällä viikolla meni sisällä, eihän ulos mene kuin hullu vapaaehtoisesti :) Mä niin kadehdin niitä WIWW-osallistujia, joilla on t-paitoja ja hameita tälläkin viikolla päällä...

A few weeks back I was dreaming of lovely spring outfits. That dream got a bick setback when the temperature has been tightly in the freezing zone, around -25 degrees Celsius / -13 degrees Fahrenheit. Yuck. Because of this we have spent a number of days inside, not dressing up properly. You have to be crazy to go outside voluntarily :) I am so jealous of all the WIWW-ladies with short sleeves and skirts in their WIWW this week.... ;)
